My name is Scott Crossley and I am the president of the Georgia State University (GSU) Veteran Employees' Alliance. We are raising money to support Afghan refugees resettling in Atlanta to help them reach their educational goals at GSU.

The Intensive English Program at GSU is sponsoring six female students (Shegofa, Robaba, Shamsia, Zarafshan, Hanifa, and Husnia) from the Asian University for Women (AUW). in Kabul. They managed to escape from Afghanistan in August and had been staying at a military base in Wisconsin. They arrived in Atlanta on December 7th, 2021 to restart their academic careers with tuition support from GSU

They come to Atlanta with very little to support their studies. We are seeking donations to help them buy clothes, public transportation cards, food, school supplies, and other items that will better help them transition to their new home.

Funds are needed immediately as they just arrived and all help , no matter how small, is deeply appreciated! All money raised will go directly to the students.
