Help Afghan Interpreter "Zia" in crisis

Donation protected
We are a small veteran's advocate group to help an Afghan interpreter friend "Zia" who has worked for the Canadian Armed Forces. He and his family fled their home province in Aug because they were targets for the Taliban's attacks, receiving threat letters. The Taliban has since fully destroyed their house, which they had to abandon while fleeing, rendering it uninhabitable. Zia has been separated from his family in another country, while his family is frantically waiting for any news about the Canadian immigration process. They have run out of money in a country that is collapsing. They are unable to work in this crisis situation.

There's so much to say about this family's situation. In short, he's still waiting for an IRCC application G number and UCI under the Special Immigration program for Afghans who assisted the Government of Canada.

Funds will go towards immediate rent, food, clean water, blankets and pillows for winter, communication (calling cards, phone bills), and medicine.

Zia personally says, "Thank you donors , all those who are able to help us in this very hard situation. We will never forget you."
