My name is Kubra Mohammadi. In August 2021, when the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, I was in 12th grade. Overnight, girls across the country were banned from school. I lost my chance to graduate, and millions of girls lost their futures.

I fled to the United States, rebuilt my life, and am now a second‑year college student. While continuing my own education, I founded Delaram Foundation so Afghan girls could continue theirs.

Today, Delaram Foundation runs underground and online schools for girls across Afghanistan. More than 1,000 girls are studying with us quietly, bravely, and with so much hope.

Right now, we have underground schools in Kabul, Ghazni, Daykundi, and Mazar‑e‑Sharif. These are small, house‑to‑house classes where teachers gather a few girls inside a home and teach them safely and quietly. Classes move from one house to another depending on the situation. The girls come as normal visitors, carrying their notebooks in their regular bags. They study in small groups, stay careful, and avoid drawing attention. This is how girls in Afghanistan continue their education today — simple, quiet, and incredibly courageous.

In our online schools, we have students from all over Afghanistan. Our teachers teach them every night through Google Meet. For girls who do not have access to the internet, we download the lesson videos and send them through memory cards so they can study offline. No girl is left behind because of internet or location.

We are now partnering with Forward International Academy, which gives Afghan girls the chance to earn an internationally recognized American high school diploma. This diploma can open doors to universities, scholarships, and opportunities that were taken away from them.

For our first phase, we will enroll 40+ 12th‑grade girls with Forward International Academy so they can finally graduate and earn their American high school diploma. In the future, we plan to expand enrollment to grades 9 through 12, giving even more Afghan girls the chance to continue their education.

The cost of enrollment is $100 per student per year, and this amount covers full tuition for a girl to be completely enrolled in the program. For many Afghan families, even $100 is impossible.
