Don’t Let the Last Door to Education Close for Afghan Girls!
This is Roshan Mashal, a women's human rights activist. I mentored 70 students at Morra Medical Institute in Afghanistan under a scholarship program funded by USAID. However, after USAID ceased its work, these students faced significant challenges, as they are now unable to afford their education in anesthesia, nursing, and midwifery at Morra Medical Institute. I am raising this fund to support these girls in continuing their education.
Dear Friends,
For the past three years, Afghan girls have endured unimaginable hardships. They have been banned from schools and universities, stripped of their basic rights, and told that their dreams don’t matter. But despite everything, they refuse to give up.
Medical instituts are the only field they are still allowed to pursue—a fragile lifeline in a world that has tried to silence them. At Moraa Medical Institute, young women have fought against all odds to continue their studies, hoping to become nurses and midwives to serve their people.
But now, even this last hope is slipping away. With USAID support gone, these students have lost their scholarships and are being forced to abandon their education—not because they lack talent or determination - but because they can not afford to stay.
We can not let this happen. These young girls and women and girls have already lost so much. Please don’t let them lose the only future they have left.
Your support can keep them in school. It can keep their dreams alive. It can remind them—and the world—that they are not forgotten.
Every dollar counts. Every donation is a stand against injustice. Please give what you can and share this message. Let’s show Afghan girls that even in the darkest times, they are not alone.
Donate today and be their light.
With gratitude,
