My father, David Santiago, passed away on June 13th, 2025, from organ failure. It was an unexpected and surprising death for not only me but my entire family. David had a long fight with strokes, an aortic dissection, newly discovered diabetes and the two open heart surgeries he was given. Being raised as his only daughter, I watched my Dad through the years of his retirement from a social worker unable to work and support the two of us due to his back injuries, which left me to become the sole provider of the house once I could work. Now that his time has passed, my family and I want to give him a proper funeral. Memorial service, cremation, the whole nine yards. Being the sole provider for him and I, I wasn’t expecting this nor do I have the funds to afford the funeral home bill. I’m the main one take care of his arrangements and would like to do something special for him one last time to let him know he was extremely loved even when he thought he wasn’t. Any bit of money helps, I just want to get my Dad the proper service and celebration of life that he deserves.
