Hi everyone,

My name’s Ryan, and this is Dude — my best friend, travel buddy, and adventure dog. Together we’ve explored the U.S. from coast to coast: ocean swims, mountain hikes, goofy road-trip moments, and a lot of smiles shared along the way.

Now we’re down to the very last state: Hawaii.

Why I’m fundraising

Flying is the only realistic way for us to get to Hawaii. The problem is, commercial airlines don’t allow dogs of Dude’s size in the cabin, and I refuse to put him in the cargo hold. It’s just not safe, and I won’t put him through that.

Because of that, the only safe option is to book seats on a chartered flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu and back.

I can cover getting us from Michigan to Los Angeles and back myself. What I can’t cover is the L.A. ⇄ Honolulu round trip and the on-island costs.

What your help makes possible

• Charter flight (L.A. ⇄ Honolulu ⇄ L.A.): $8,000–$12,000

• Hotels (7–10 nights, dog-friendly): $2,100–$3,500

• Rental car on Oʻahu: about $1,000

• Food & basics on the island: $700–$1,000

Goal: $15,000

That’s the minimum we need to make this happen — to get Dude to his 50th state safely and cover the essentials for a week to 10 days in Hawaii.

If we’re lucky enough to go above and beyond that goal, it will only make the adventure even better. More support means more we can do, more moments to share with you all, and a chance to truly give Dude the celebration and reward he deserves for reaching this milestone.

I’m not one to ask for help, but this is something special. Very few dogs have ever stepped paw in all 50 states. Dude’s adventures have already brought so much joy to people, and finishing this journey safely means the world to us.
