Help Adroit Get The Surgery She Needs to Live!

During my travels to Zimbabwe over the past year, Ntabiso and his wife Adroit have welcomed me into their lives and community, sharing their culture and lives with me. Adroit Mpofu has become a dear friend who I have spent countless hours sharing life stories with and building memories through laughter and conversation. Adroit is a  step-mother to a 14 year old boy and older sister to 4 girls and 3 boys.  She is 29 years old and is currently studying tourism and travel at a local college in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe where she lives with her husband, Ntabiso.  Adroit has been suffering  for many months from intense headaches. After multiple medications, specialists, and tests Adroit was diagnosed with a large pituitary adenoma with evidence of acute hemorrhage and apoplexy in late October 2019. She is at risk of vision loss and stroke as the tumor on her brain grows.  Urgent surgery is required to remove the mass. The goal is for the surgery to take place within less than 60 days.  There is only 1 Neurologist in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe covering half the country therefore costs are high in a country where the average income is $17,678. Donated funds will be electronically transfered to Adroit in Zimbabwe. It would mean the world to me to be able to help Adroit receive the treatment she deserves to offer her the highest quality of life and chance of survival. Your donations will go directly towards the cost of her surgery and medical expenses. Currently, the surgery is on hold regardless of its urgency as Adroit does not have the necessary finances. I could not imagine what it feels like to live in such fear, unable to get the medical treatment needed.
