My husband Jay and I have always worked hard to support ourselves, but this past year has turned our lives upside down. Jay, a blue-collar worker, spent years putting in long hours until the strain finally caught up with him. He recently underwent major surgery to have his spine fused and a ligament removed from his nerve. At the same time, I faced my own health crisis after an emergency appendectomy left me with nerve damage and a paralyzed stomach. Now, I live with gastroparesis and rely on a feeding tube to survive. Since then, I’ve had two more surgeries, and neither of us is able to work right now.
With both of us unable to earn an income, we’ve lost our home and are currently living in a friend’s basement. Every day is a struggle to cover basic needs, from medical bills and daily living expenses to food and the formula I need for my feeding tube. We’re doing everything we can to get back on our feet, but the challenges feel overwhelming at times.
I’ve never asked for help like this before, and it’s not easy to reach out. This is truly our last resort, and we would be forever grateful for any support—whether it’s a donation, a share, or even a prayer. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for any kindness you can offer. Your support means more than words can say.
