Hello Everyone,

My name is Adrian Wilson. I currently reside in the United States but JAMAICA, the land of my birth, was recently battered by the record-shattering Hurricane Melissa. "Catastrophe" and " Nightmare" are some of the words that have been used to describe the unprecedented devastation that has befallen the island. Homes, schools, shelters, churches, utility and communication infrastructure, roads, bridges, agricultural lands, have been decimated.

I have many family members still in Jamaica. All need help to some degree or the other, as many, my brother, niece, and nephew included, have pretty much lost everything in this disaster. Homes and livelihoods erased. I wish to help as much as I can but there is only so much that I can do in this time of unparalleled damage.

I have created this gofundme as a way to ask for help so that I may better assist my family in the extraordinarily long and winding road to recovery ahead. I am reaching out to those who are willing and able to give monies that will go towards essentials like water, toilet paper, wipes, diapers, feminine products, bread, rice, as many shelf-stable items as possible, tarps, roofing materials, carpentry tools, medicine and first aid kits.
