Hi! My name is Adrianna Wesley. I am a high school teacher who is on medical leave due to a very serious medical condition.

On January 24, 2024, I collapsed at work, scaring me and all my students. My left arm completely stopped working. At the hospital, we learned that I need spinal cord surgery. But before I can have that life-saving surgery, I have to have weight loss surgery. My insurance will pay for the surgery, but not until 2027. My neurosurgeon said I will NOT live that long. My condition is dire. The doctor cannot reach the surgical area at my current weight. I've tried the weight loss shots and ended up in the hospital for two weeks! I almost died. I can either end up completely paralyzed (best case scenario) or die from my spinal cord being severed (we know this is the worst case) without these necessary surgeries.

I've dreaded coming on here, but I've tried everything else. I'm in severe pain every minute of the day. I fall down for no reason at all. I now have seizures out of nowhere. I have terrible tremors, oh, and my face and body freeze up, and someone has to help me get out of whatever position I'm in. It's ridiculous! I just want to be healed and get back into the classroom to teach my students. I love teaching. I love guiding the next generation, but there is a real possibility that I'll never be able to do it again without these surgeries. I'll probably die without your help.
