Help Adriana Yanez & Her Family Rebuild After a Devastating Fire
In July of 2023, I purchased my home in San Jose ,California. I was fortunate to have kind neighbors that looked out for me while adapting to the area. Adriana, 15 years old is homeschooled and always helped me with small tasks like watching Allie, looking out for Amazon packages, and deleting thousands of my emails which was so tedious for me. I have a special place in my heart for her since her dream is to become a nurse or a teacher and work with “little kids” as she says.
On Thursday April 17, 2025 (yesterday) about 2:20pm, I was alerted of a fire next door. A tragic fire broke out in the home where Adriana Yanez and her family lived, caused by the tenants living above them. In an instant, their lives were turned upside down. The fire destroyed the upstairs which affected their kitchen. Thank goodness no one was in the kitchen as the ceiling collapsed while they were in the living room. — leaving them with no home, minimal belongings , and nowhere to go.
Fortunately, the fire did not spread to my house which was only a stone’s throw away from where the fire broke. My roommate was sleeping and was awakened by the neighbor pounding on the door and Allie barking loudly as seen on the ring doorbell.
Adriana’s mom is on disability. She suffers from seizures and other conditions. Her dad is hard working and kind. Now they face the unimaginable task of rebuilding their lives from scratch while trying to provide stability for their family in this heartbreaking time. This unexpected tragedy has left them in urgent need of support for temporary housing, clothes, food, and basic necessities.
We are asking for your kindness and generosity to help the Yanez family get back on their feet. Every donation, big or small, will make a meaningful impact and help them begin to heal and rebuild.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign. Your support means the world to them.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
