Help Adriana Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Adriana. On September 3, Thursday, 2024, I got a phone call when I had just clocked in to work that there was a fire at my house. I rushed back home to find that my room was caught on fire due to an outlet. I was shocked. My son, his two cats, who were home along with my two nieces and their pup, made it safely, but as for my room where myself and my son stay, it was completely lit on fire. Everything we owned was burnt. I have an autistic son who sleeps on the top bunk bed. His collection was destroyed, all his toys . What hurt the most was my baby boy's things. He always kept his neat and fixed his collection, which he was very proud of. Especially my son, they were at school when they got the news. My son was shaking and didn’t know how to express his emotions. He was devastated. My little son was also devastated. We didn’t have an apartment, just that room, but we had our little space for us.
Now, I'm asking for any help because we don’t own this house. My mom has rented this house for over 34 years, and the landlord has never fixed anything in that house. It’s always been my dad, and the owner has no insurance on the house, so now it’s up to us to rebuild our room. Thankfully, it didn’t spread to the rest of the house, but we do live in a full house, and now me and my kids have nowhere to stay. I’m trying so hard not to lose it, but this isn’t easy. Everything is gone: our TV, our bunk beds, clothes, their uniforms, my son's medicine, shoes, their Switches, their computer, our dresser. All of our clothes were on plastic hangers, so all the plastic melted on everything. This is the hardest thing to do, to ask for help. I’m trying to keep it together. This is just so much for my boys and myself. Anything, please, would truly help us. Thank you so much.
