Help Adriana and Kristina Cherish Every Moment

Adriana and Kristina are two wonderful, loving mommas who love their boys, Arley and Asher, more than anything in the world. Baby Asher was lovingly and perfectly planned and was the final piece of their family. They were so excited to welcome their baby boy into this world. However, their excitement quickly turned to heartache when they learned of the serious complications Asher faced shortly after his birth.

Asher’s Journey:

Adriana’s pregnancy seemed as normal as any other pregnancy until around six months, when she started experiencing pain and various complications. After multiple ER visits, with tests and ultrasounds appearing normal, Adriana was eventually diagnosed with polyhydramnios, a condition where too much amniotic fluid accumulates in the uterus. While the full implications were unclear at the time, her doctors hinted that something more serious might be happening. Adriana’s body proceeded to go into early labor, and despite efforts to delay it, the medical team ultimately performed an emergency c-section as baby Asher's tiny body was in distress.

On August 6, 2024, at 9:11 a.m. beautiful baby Asher Saldana was born, weighing 3 lbs. 12 oz. From the moment he entered the world, Asher has been fighting for his life, struggling with basic functions like breathing and eating. Despite initial hopes for improvement, Asher’s condition persisted, and genetic testing revealed he has a severe form of myopathy caused by mutations in the RYR1 gene. This condition results in significant muscle weakness and is, heartbreakingly, fatal.

Adriana and Kristina are deeply grateful for every moment with their precious baby boy but watching him struggle daily has been incredibly painful. As loving mothers, they want nothing more than to provide their baby with the best care and comfort in the time they have with him. Unfortunately, they are now facing unthinkably difficult decisions, all with heartbreaking outcomes.

Baby Asher’s time here on earth is tragically limited, and they are doing everything they can to cherish every moment with him. However, the financial strain of medical bills, living expenses, and travel costs has taken a toll, forcing them to return to work sooner than they wanted, in order to keep the bills paid and food on the table. This is unfair! :( The last thing they should be worried about right now is finances.
