Adrian Zelada is a devoted father, a loving son, a caring brother, and a friend to many. At 46 years old, he’s known for his kind heart, quiet generosity, and unwavering support for others, always putting the needs of those around him before his own. He has spent a lifetime lifting others up. Now, it's our turn to help him.

Just six months ago, Adrian's life changed drastically when he was diagnosed with oral cancer. On April 14, 2025, he underwent a long and complex surgery, a hemi-glossectomy and radical neck dissection. Since then, he has been on a long and painful road to recovery, relearning how to eat, speak, and even move his arm due to nerve involvement from neck surgery. Further chemotherapy and radiation treatments, therapies, and ongoing care to treat the cancer lie ahead.

At first, Adrian fell into deep sadness and fear, with the uncertainty of his health, his ability to care for his family, and his future. But that changed when he arrived at the cancer center. There, he saw young children receiving treatment, these were kids who had not yet had the chance to live a full life. In that moment, his perspective shifted. He realized how fortunate he was to have lived 46 years filled with love, family, and purpose. He decided that no matter how hard this journey is, he would fight with gratitude in his heart.

That experience inspired Adrian to promise that he will only use the funds he truly needs and any remaining donations will be given to support children battling cancer. Even now, in the midst of his own fight, Adrian is thinking of how he can help others.

He is not just a medical patient. He is the heart of his family and a role model to his two young sons, who admire his strength and integrity. He is typically the person that cares for others, without expecting anything in return and not the one needing help. But as the sole provider for his family, this diagnosis has brought not only emotional and physical strain, but an overwhelming financial burden. This fight is one he can’t face alone.
