Help Adrian to Stay in Canada
Hey! My name is Jose Adrian Cardenas. I am 28 years old and I currently live in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
I have been living in Vancouver for the last 5 years. I migrated from México with my family looking to have a better life for my younger siblings and my mother. We took this decision shortly after my father passed away from an 8 year battle with cancer. For this reason, we migrated without much money while trying to keep my broken family together. As the older sibling, I was not able to get Canadian status from my mom like my younger siblings, forcing me get citizenship by myself.
Worrying about expiring visas every year where denial will separate me from my family, learning a new language, losing of one of my parents at a young age and working to help my mom and siblings were taking a heavy toll on my mental health. Mentally I was in a dark place, where I felt that my life was just struggling to survive.
However, 2 years ago I meet Jon Quinit and in his gym I finally got a place that I can call home. Eventually I became one of his coaches, and for the first time in many years, I felt some kind of stability. Finally I felt like I was being allowed to live and not just survive. Being part of this community and being able to share what I have learned about boxing has made my life so much more fulfilling.
I am at the point of the migration process where I require a lawyer to help me complete my permanent residence application. Unfortunately, the application and the services of the lawyer are beyond what I can afford alone. Thats is why I decided to reach out to the community and to anyone who is willing to help me afford to stay in Canada.
Thank you for your help - even just a share of it will help immensely.
