My name is Adrian Carnegie, a taxi operator from Clarendon, Jamaica. In April of 2025, I encountered issues with my vision and sought medical treatment. After being evaluated, I was referred to UWI Hospital where I underwent testing and was diagnosed with retinal tears/detachment. As a result of this, I have lost vision in both my eyes almost completely and was recommended for an emergency surgery in October of 2025 to possibly repair the damages in an effort to restore my vision one eye at a time. This surgery is very costly and is estimated at approximately 1 million Jamaican dollars per eye. Please help me in raising the funds in order to afford my surgery to restore my vision, and I thank you in advance for any contribution towards my goal.
