Adrian’s Journey to Heal

Hi everyone, my name is Dora, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my son, Adrian. A couple of days ago, our lives were turned upside down when Adrian was viciously attacked by several students at his high school early in the morning. He was jumped without warning, and the injuries were devastating — his jaw was fractured, his cheekbone was fractured, and his eye was swollen shut. He needed emergency surgery due to the severity of the injuries.

Adrian is a freshman in high school, and like any teenage boy, he’s been navigating the challenges of growing up. But he’s been genuinely trying to turn his life around. He joined JROTC, stayed active at school, and was working hard to better himself little by little. To see him hurt this way — after making so much effort — has been heartbreaking. Since the attack, he’s been depressed, sad, and shaken in ways no child should ever experience.

As his mom, my only focus right now is being by his side and making sure he has everything he needs to heal physically and emotionally.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to help with:

• Medical bills from the emergency surgery and ongoing care

• Follow-up appointments, medications, and healing needs

• Basic living expenses while I take time off work to care for him full-time

With me not being able to work right now, it’s become overwhelming to try to keep up with everything on my own. Any support, whether big or small, would truly make a difference during this painful time.
