Help Adrian create special memories following MND diagnosis

Hi, my name is Abbie, and I’m Adrian’s youngest daughter. He also has two other wonderful daughters, Jodie and Melodie. Our family is full of love — he has four beautiful grandchildren, Miles, Millie, Juliet and Amber, a wonderful partner Lisa, an amazing sister Nichola, and his loving, supportive dad George. We also hold close in our hearts his mum, Celia, who we sadly lost a few years ago and who would be so proud of the strength he continues to show. He’s also surrounded by four lovely nieces — Zoe, Tabitha, Hazel and Kayleigh — along with their children Louie, Orla, Michael and Elizabeth. He also has a great brother-in-law, Lisa’s parents, his daughters’ partners, his nieces’ partners, and a close circle of friends who all form part of his incredible support system. We are so lucky to have such a big, close, and supportive network, and I’m incredibly grateful for every one of them.

We are setting up this fundraiser to help our dad create the best memories possible and live the rest of his life without financial worry following his diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

This diagnosis comes after what has already been a very difficult couple of years. Two years ago, Dad had a serious accident in his garden which left him in hospital for a couple of months. Since then, he has shown so much strength and resilience — which makes this news even harder to process.

Adrian is now creating a bucket list of things he would love to do while he’s still able. Some of his wishes include zip lining across the Eden Project, taking a trip to Scotland, going on a big family holiday (which we’ve thankfully already booked), and watching a Manchester United match live. These are just a few of the things he hopes to experience, and we will continue to update as he adds more.

Alongside making memories, the funds raised will also help support any care, equipment, and adaptations he may need as the disease progresses — helping him stay comfortable and maintain his independence for as long as possible.

We will also be donating 25% of all funds raised to the MND Association charity to help support others affected by this devastating illness.

We are heartbroken by this diagnosis, but more than anything, we want to focus on making as many special memories as we can together — as a family and with friends.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your kindness, love, and support.
