Help Adrian Bella Breathe Easy Again

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

Hello My name is Greg and I'm trying to humbly request support for my friend and chief Adrian Bella. Recently, he underwent a life-saving double lung transplant. While the surgery was a success and offers him a new lease on life, he has been burdened by the mountain of co-pay and medical bills from 90+ days in the hospital.

The Journey So Far
Adrian has always been a pillar of strength and an inspiration to everyone who knows him. Whether it’s leading our team with unwavering dedication or being there for grandkids and friends in times of need, he has consistently shows kindness and generosity. Unfortunately, over the last year, Adrian has been dealing with an, at the time, an unknown breathing condition that progressively worsened, making it increasingly difficult to breathe and had to be taken to the hospital a week before Christmas 2023.

The Life-Saving Transplant
Adrian had spent over 90 days in the hospital, and lost over 60 lbs, while doctors were trying to find out what was wrong with him. Every doctor at UCI were very interested in his story as every test came back negative and him being adamant about wanting to be around for his grand kids when they turn 26 saying "Doc, I'm not ready to die." After being transferred to UCLA they determined the scaring in his lungs were isolated and the only solution for his body to produce enough oxygen was a double lung transplant. Luckily after about 3 more weeks, multiple false alarms, a suitable donor one was found, and Adrian underwent a successful double lung transplant. This procedure has given him a second chance at life, but it also comes with a significant financial burden. The costs associated with the surgery, hospitalization, medications, multiple outside doctor visits, and ongoing rehabilitation are staggering. While insurance has covered a portion of these expenses, there are still substantial out-of-pocket costs that are beyond Adrian's means. But he has never complained and has stayed positive by saying "What's the alternative?"

How You Can Help
We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate the financial stress on Adrian and his family. Your donations will go directly towards:

Medical bills: Covering the costs of the surgery, hospital stays, and follow-up appointments.
Medications: Paying for the expensive anti-rejection medications and other essential prescriptions not fully covered by insurance.
Rehabilitation and therapy: Supporting the costs of physical therapy and other rehabilitation services needed to regain strength and improve lung function.
Living expenses: Assisting with everyday expenses while Adrian focuses on recovery and is unable to work.
New fitting clothes: Adrian has lost 60 lbs and his old clothes do not fit him. He still goes out to see his grandkids playing baseball and needs to look his best! This would help with with a good wardrobe rotation.

Your Support Matters
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Adrian's journey to recovery. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network to help spread the word. Your support and kindness will provide Adrian with the relief and encouragement needed during this challenging time.

On behalf of Adrian, his family, and all of us who are fortunate to know him, thank you for your generosity and support. Let’s come together to help Adrian breathe easy and embrace this new chapter of life with hope and strength.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Thank you!
