Help Adonis Regain his Vision

Aloha, Good day, Buenos dias!
 
I am raising  funds for a final eye surgery to enable my beloved son, Adonis de la Campa, to see again. 


In June of 2020, Adonis was dramatically injured. He was playing in a park when a friend accidentally pierced his right eye with a large branch. The branch shredded Adonis’s eye and the tissue around it.  Over the past year he has endured four surgeries to clean out the damage and splinters, sew up the eye itself, cosmetically repair the top and bottom eyelids, and reconstruct the tear duct. He also had a successful procedure to save the retina. This procedure restored our hope, and gave us faith that he might be able to see fully again!  
 
All of our ophthalmologists and surgeons at both Kaiser Permanente and USF have been wonderful. Even so, Adonis has endured partial blindness for 18 difficult and painful months.
 
Adonis has only one procedure left, to replace the cornea and lens of his right eye.  We are humbly asking our community for support to get us past this finish line.  Due to COVID-19 I have been unemployed; Adonis has been able to work almost full time, but at minimum wage. As our resources have waned, we need your help.  Adonis’s final procedure and follow up will cost somewhere between $10,000 -$12,000. The young man who damaged Adonis’s eye has committed $5,000; we thus need an additional $7,000 to support my son’s struggle to regain his sight. All funds raised will go directly towards hospital and pharmacy costs.
