Help Adonis Rebuild After Wildfire Losses : A Call For Aid

It is with a humble (somewhat heavy!) heart…yet completely within the deepest, most precious & most vulnerable place inside mine…

that I’m reaching out to all of your beautiful hearts, at a moment of such critical need, with an overwhelming sense of gratitude for all the healing love and priceless support you’ve already graced me with, during, quite literally, the toughest and most uncertain, most challenging time of my entire life!

It is truly heartbreaking & scary having to quickly let go of most of my possessions/assets behind, evacuate/abruptly relocate and find myself in an unprecedented position where…

I don’t have a secured home/housing yet, to return to while my financial strains had already taken a massive toll on me, for months now, until the disastrous wildfires had me entirely displaced & impacted, unlike ever before!!!

As a rideshare driver, having that be my main source of income with exponentially exploitative rates, over the past 3-6 months…

***where the driver is given less than 1/4…sometimes 1/5 of what the rider gets charged…(that’s less than 25% of the cost of the ride!)***

and with an already saturated market, flooded with people from all walks of life, already experiencing hardship due to the crash of many industries…(writers strikes etc.) & looking to these platforms for additional income…the past year or two….

The business was already in rapid decline, heading into what’s already a traditionally much slower holiday season…

It’s when the wildfires hit and halted everything, over the past 2-3 weeks, almost to a complete STOP!…

That my income was in the minus, after covering car rental & gas costs, just to be able to earn something, towards my bare necessities like food & housing, without being able to even cover those, some days!!!

The devastating wildfires, the decimation, the environmental dangers & the ongoing impact were the last straw that financially broke me & brought me to an unknown place of complete uncertainty!

I have been stretched too thin, well below the poverty line & well beyond survival…having battled many woes for years and years, with my own journey of loss, grieving & mental health challenges, for so long, on my own, yet always striving for better avenues…

Despite all the dire circumstances I’m currently faced with, your generosity, your courage, your strength & your kindness have been my absolute lifeline and the most hopeful beacon of light, carrying me through to safer land!

There are days when I go hungry or I don’t have enough to eat or cover my ⛽️ for rideshare driving, as I continue to apply at other workplaces!

I’ve been barely getting by and making do, (primarily on my own) and after 14 years, here in the city of Angels that housed & guarded me…all those years…I’ve reached a critical point where I NEED HELP & I cannot do it entirely on my own, anymore!

I am currently staying motivated, mobilized & committed to offering my services as a professional astrologer, Reiki healer, creatively focused entrepreneur, despite needing help myself, more than ever!!!

Right now, everything I still own is inside my rental car & I’ve been fortunate enough to be staying with friends, yet uncertain about my next home!!!

It’s been very humbling & life-affirming & community rejoicing witnessing how so many of us have been impacted and while needing tremendous help ourselves, all of us striving to offer help and give back too!!!

I feel so incredibly moved by experiencing all of “the village” coming together during one of Los Angeles’ biggest and most historically unprecedented catastrophes, with years of consequences in the aftermath, that has left many of us scrambling!!!

All of your help, your much-needed support & donations (however small or large they may be) are truly helping people like me, by making a significant difference towards rebuilding my life, rewriting my story & turning a new chapter in my book, none of which I’d be able to do, in this moment, without you!!!

As I find my footing again, securing housing & reliable transportation, while I align with a better, steadier and more sustainable position, that will allow me to grow roots once more and move forward, remaining grounded & secure, in my future creative goals & life’s mission!

It truly does take a “village” and being so far away from my birthplace home, in Greece , across the globe, as an immigrant without immediate blood family or childhood friends nearby…my “village” is quite literally my life vest, keeping me afloat!

Yet, at such a critical, solemn time of a crisis moment, I’m being reminded of what is most vital…most essential and THAT is simply ONE ANOTHER…our LOVE for our families, our real true friends & our extended tribes and communities having each other to lean on and share courage, strength & resources!!!

I couldn’t be more grateful for all of you, so gracefully and so beautifully allowing me to lean on you, at a time when I truly need it the most!
