Hello! My name is Adi, I'm a 22 year old freelance artist. I'm trying to leave my abusive household and reach peace for the first time in my life. The goal for this GFM is going toward rent, bus fare, and groceries for 2 months, to give me time to look for a job after I move.

Onto the sob story and details:

I have lived largely isolated from the outside world for 14 years. During this, I have been abused and exploited in various ways and as a result I have tried to end my life on many occasions. Every single time once I get home, the abuse gets worse.

As it stands now, I face isolation, emotional abuse, and coercive control. My rights of privacy are taken from me, my very autonomy does not belong to me. No choice is mine to make, and if I don't like it, I have to "suck it up" and "get over it"… I am told things like a curtain for a door (instead of just a doorframe) and being treated like the adult I am are things that I need to earn, and I have to understand them as things they are willing to take away from me no matter what. I am not allowed to get a job. I am not allowed to leave the house on my own. Reaching out for help through local resources has been very fruitless.

My only hope in this world is to be able to feel safe and at peace. I wish to be a human and to be treated as such. I hope that I can get help to reach this goal.
