Adesbah’s Motorcycle Crash! Plz Help w Ceremony Costs
Donation protected
update 5/9/24:
All the money raised so far has been used for medical expenses, to bring my family from the Navajo Nation to Albuquerque so that they could take care of me, and for relocating to a new apartment that better suits my needs right now. I am asking for more donations because I will need a Blessing Way ceremony this summer. These are Navajo ceremonies that are very expensive, but for traditional Navajo people these ceremonies are healing and help restore balance to ones life — and no matter the cost, it’s absolutely worth it! Blessing Way ceremonies are also used to give special “blessings” before major life transitions or events such as graduate school! I was accepted into a PhD program at UNM for archaeology and I start in the fall. The Blessing Way ceremony is the perfect ceremony to help me transition from one very traumatic event, my motorcycle accident, and into something very positive like a graduate school. I greatly appreciate any donations! All donations will go directly to funding this ceremony. It will cost about $2500.
update 4/3/24:
I might get discharged from the rehab facility today. I’m still not able to walk or use my right arm. This decision is up to the insurance company. If I’m discharged today, I will not have a place to go home to that is wheelchair accessible. So, I will have to rent an apartment that is wheelchair accessible and pay first and last months rent and down deposit. It is very expensive to move into an apartment as you probably know because of the fees upfront. I will use this money from go fund me to do this. Thank you so much for your support and your donations!

Hi everyone, Adesbah here. I wrecked my motorcycle on I 25 N between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM, on March 9th, 2024. I hit a stopped vehicle in the left lane and I was going 75 mph. I totaled my motorcycle, was catapulted from it, and broke 10 bones; including the femur bone in my left leg, my right arm and wrist, my right ankle, and my right tibia (shin bone), as well as several others. I have a long road of recovery ahead of me, and at least a full 10 weeks until I can bear weight on both legs. Because my injuries are so significant, I will need to be in a facility for the next several weeks where I can get PT full-time. So far insurance is covering most things, however, I am going to have out of out-of-pocket expenses as well. I also need money for my family to travel back-and-forth from the Navajo Nation to visit me and take care of me over the next months. Travel and gas expensive are costly, car maintenance is expensive too, and the food that my family will need to buy while they’re away from their homes will add up eventually. Please help me and my family by donating whatever you can to this fund, we all greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
I am extremely lucky and happy to be alive. Since I’ve been in the hospital, every single nurse and doctor, and even the sheriff assigned to my case said that I could’ve died! The sheriff was in shock that I didn’t actually die. When he came and saw me later that night after I was stabilized in the ER he looked like he was about to cry for me! He said he sees a lot of bad wrecks like mine on the interstate and most of them don’t make it, and if they do make it, they have significant injuries where they’re paralyzed, or are in a vegetative state! Thank you creator and ancestors for protecting me, and helping me through this extremely hard time! And thank you for all of my friends and family, who are helping me through this! I could not have done it, or continue to do this without them!
An incredibly heart felt thank you to every one of you! I’m so grateful and I know I’m so blessed to have your support and my life!
