We know that donating isn't always easy but even if you can't afford to help for now a share could potentially help even more. Thank you all for your love and support!
I am writing this on behalf of my cousin Aden Castro. We all know how difficult it is to ask for help, and this is one of those times, where help is very much needed. Aden is an upstanding and loving person, just beginning his adult journey in life! Upon finding the girl he would like to spend his life with and finding a job to set himself up in the world, Aden found himself in a life altering moment.
While preparing for bed one night, Aden collapsed on his leg in the worst imaginable pain. The tibia bone shattered in many different places. A doctor visit revealed that this was indeed some form of cancer. After many different types of tests and Dr. visits, the team has determined that this is a very rare cancer, found in only 400 cases in the U.S. Solitary Plasmacytoma, and had deteriorated the bone to the point of failure.
The team has finally come up with a plan to move forward. Aden will begin 25 sessions of radiation and then another full body MRI to check for any more tumors. He will also need to have reconstructive surgery on his leg to repair and possibly replace some of the bone that has deteriorated from the tumor.
He will then have to undergo life-long blood tests and scans, as he is only 25 years old and 70% of patients with this type of cancer develop Multiple Myeloma and require chemotherapy.
With all our help, we could set this young man up to fight through this, and not be discouraged and haunted by medical bills. I have known Aden his entire life, and I know the character of this young man. If you are able to help, Aden can begin to live the dream that he is so close to!
