Hi, my name is Eddie Moir, and I am fundraising for Adele Ritchie. Adele has diabetes, and has since she was a child. This disease went undiagnosed until she was 14 years old. The ravages of this debilitating disease have resulted in the following:

• heart attack
• stroke
• falls
• broken bones to femur, shoulder, hands
• kidney disease
• Neuropathy

To mention a few.

Adele is fiercely independent with a tenacity like no other person I know. Tell her she can’t, she will prove you wrong. She doesn’t know the meaning of the word quit. Tell her to rest, she brings you a tea and carries on. The myriad of health issues would have defeated a weaker person.

The most devastating loss has been her sight. Technology has been nothing short of miraculous in many areas. This includes devices to help with this impairment, and the ORCAM MY EYE device would open a world that has gradually closed for Adele. Her love of learning and reading has virtually ground to a halt since many topics are not available as audio books.

I am asking for your assistance. Please help me to help this woman regain ground she has lost due to the diabetes. With a very limited income because of her disability and no insurance this device is not within reach financially. I thank you on behalf of Adele for your kindness.
