Hi, my name is Jasmine. I’m just a normal mum from England, with friends in Gaza who are trapped there and trying to escape. I am raising funds to try and help them leave.

My friends, the Al-Najjar family, have been separated from one another in the conflict and are trying desperately to reach the border with Egypt and gain safe passage.

They are Adel, Wesal, and their 3 children, Juri (age 5) Nada (age 2) and Wadih (age 1).

Adel is currently trapped in the North of Gaza. He is living in a makeshift shelter, alone, wounded from recent bombings and away from his wife and children.

Before October 7th, it cost $350 to cross the border into Egypt, and now they are charging $9,000 for a man, $5,000 for a woman, and $2,000 for children. We have a separate fundraiser for Wesal and the children which was set up by another friend. We need to raise funds for Adel to get him out of the north, reunited with his family, and into Egypt.

I am collecting the funds on his behalf and will transfer them to him via my own bank account, as it appears to be very difficult to get money directly to people on the ground there.
