Help Adejoke’s Mum Walk Again – Urgent Surgery Needed
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted souls,
We are reaching out with an urgent plea to help Adejoke’s beloved mother, a woman of resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering love, receive the life-changing surgery she desperately needs.
For years, she has endured relentless pain and limited mobility, following two failed knee surgeries. Now, her condition has deteriorated so severely that she can no longer walk, even with crutches. The pain is unbearable, leaving her completely dependent on others for even the simplest tasks. Without this surgery, she will remain bedridden and unable to regain her independence.
Her only hope is an urgent Distal Femoral Replacement Surgery, performed by Dr. Julius Oni, a renowned orthopedic surgeon from Johns Hopkins Hospital, at DOC Medical Centre in Nigeria. But we cannot do this alone—we need your help to raise $19,000 CAD to cover the cost of the surgery.
Her Story: A Life of Strength, Sacrifice & Love
At 67 years old, Adejoke’s mum has spent her life caring for others, even when faced with immense hardship.
• As a widow, she showed extraordinary devotion to her late husband, caring for him through a decade-long illness, never leaving his side.
• Despite her own struggles, she continues to give selflessly running a small pastry shop and waking up at 5 AM to prepare dough, not just for herself but for children in the community who cannot afford a meal.
• Now, the woman who has always been a pillar of strength for others is unable to walk, or work. Her mobility is severely limited and every day is a battle against unbearable pain.
The Financial Challenge
Her children are doing everything they can to cover the costs, but the burden is simply too great.
• Most of her family lives in Nigeria, where healthcare is expensive and often out of reach.
•Despite every effort, the burden is too great, and we are left with no choice but
to ask for help.
What Your Support Will Cover
The $19,000 CAD will cover the surgery itself, but there are additional costs for:
• Post-surgery rehabilitation & physical therapy
• Medications & pain management
• Home modifications for her recovery
• Mobility equipment (such as a walker or wheelchair)
If unexpected complications arise, the costs may exceed this amount, making every donation even more critical.
