Help Addy Wittman Beat Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Donation protected
In early October, our beloved Addison "Addy" Wittman, a 15-year-old from Alliance, Nebraska, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma after discovering a lump in her neck. Since then, her world has been turned upside down. The cancer has spread to her chest, spleen, lungs, and bone marrow. The news was devastating, but Addy has shown incredible strength as she begins her fight for recovery.
Since her diagnosis, Addy has undergone intense chemotherapy, which has been physically taxing on her body. She’s had to endure multiple blood and platelet transfusions, and the treatments have taken a heavy toll. Despite the struggles, we are starting to see positive signs—by early December, the cancer in her spleen was gone, and the bone marrow is showing signs of improvement. The masses in her chest are slowing down, though there’s still much more to go.
Addy’s treatment is far from over. In the coming days, she will begin daily radiation therapy for two weeks in Omaha, NE - more than six hours away from home. The frequent travel to Omaha for both chemotherapy and radiation is taking a financial toll on the family.
Unfortunately, Addy has also had to be life-flighted twice due to complications during treatment, which has added additional challenges to the already demanding journey. These unexpected emergencies have only added to the already rising medical and travel expenses.
In addition, Morgan and Crystal have had to miss work to support Addy during this challenging period. The added stress of trying to manage both the financial burden and the emotional toll of this journey is overwhelming, and while Crystal is a humble and loving mother who would never ask for help on her own, we know that now is the time for the community to rally around this family.
First, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has already stepped up to support the family during this challenging time. Your generosity and compassion have meant the world to them, and they are deeply grateful for all the love and support.
That being said, the medical expenses continue to rise, and the family is facing increasing financial pressures. That’s where we come in. We’re asking for your continued help to ease this burden, so the family can focus on what matters most—Addy’s health and well-being. All funds raised will go directly toward medical and travel expenses, ensuring that the family can concentrate fully on caring for Addy without the added strain of financial worries.
Even if you’re unable to donate, your prayers, encouragement, and support mean everything to the family. Every bit of kindness helps them stay strong and focused on what matters most—Addy.
Thank you for standing with them during this time. Let’s show Addy and her family they’re not alone in this fight.
