My name is Addy, and I’m sharing my story in hopes of finding support to continue my fertility treatments.
When I was 15, I went through a surgery that ended with the loss of both of my fallopian tubes and my left ovary. Less than six months later, I had another surgery on my right ovary because of recurring cysts. After that, my doctors told me that if I ever wanted a chance at having children in the future, I needed to begin fertility treatments right away to preserve my eggs.
During my junior year of high school, I went through five rounds of egg retrievals. The goal was to freeze 20 eggs, but I was only able to preserve 13. Each round was physically and emotionally exhausting, and none of it was covered by insurance. The costs for medications, procedures, and recovery quickly added up, and the stress took a toll on both my body and my mental health.
After those five rounds, my family and I decided I needed to take a break to let my body heal. This October (2025), I will be restarting treatments with the hope of freezing enough eggs to give me a real chance at having a family one day.
We are asking for help to cover the costs of the treatments, medications, and procedures. Any amount helps more than you know. Your support would mean everything to me and my family as I take these steps toward protecting my future.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering being a part of this journey with me.
