Hello, my name is Addo Workman and slipped on ice causing a wrist fracture in early February of 2026. This has caused me to lose at least (up till this point) two months of income and despite fighting with insurance to cover bills—I’m still out money for rent and food.

The incident happened outside a narrow path outside my apartment. The ground was cracked right under the gutter, allowing ice to pool up for several inches. That, along with the fact that there was no light over the path contributed to this accident.

The fracture was severe enough to require surgery. I have been out of work since then and I am out of PTO. I still haven’t gotten clearance to return to work and that’s not expected to happen for at least two more weeks.

I think like many people, it really pains me to ask for this sort of help—I personally struggle with it, but I’m at an all time low. Anything is helpful and appreciated. Thank you so much.
