For Addisyn
Addisyn is Ron and Tracy’s sweet 16-year-old daughter, a deeply loved child who has already overcome more than most people could imagine. Reaching this milestone birthday was something her family once feared might never happen, which makes every day with Addisyn even more precious. Addisyn is wheelchair-bound and lives with complex medical needs that require constant care. Addisyn is undiagnosed, but faces severe respiratory issues and depends on seven machines each day to help keep the lungs functioning. At just 3 months old, Addisyn had half of the left lung removed because it was underdeveloped at birth. Addisyn also lives with seizures, is nonverbal, has cortical blindness, hearing impairment, and scoliosis. Addisyn’s family works together every day to give Addisyn the best life and the best care possible.
Right now, Addisyn urgently needs a new handicap van that truly fits Addisyn’s needs. The family’s current van is no longer working for safe and reliable transportation, and that creates a serious risk because Addisyn can go into respiratory distress very quickly. Addisyn receives care through University of Michigan Mott’s hospital, the one hospital equipped to handle Addisyn’s extreme and complex medical needs, so dependable transportation is absolutely critical. With cold and flu season approaching, the need is even more urgent. The funds from this fundraiser will help Addisyn’s family purchase a specialized handicap van that can safely get Addisyn to appointments, treatments, and emergency care when needed. Ron and Tracy’s family is a one-income household, with Addisyn’s dad working long hours so Tracy can stay home as Addisyn’s full-time caregiver, and this is simply too large a burden to carry alone. Please help Addisyn get a new handicap van. Your support means the world to this family and will make a life-changing difference in Addisyn’s care and safety. God has always provided for Addi, and His timing is perfect.
