Help Addison Fight Cancer and Find Hope

Hi! I’m Kaylee Null and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my young cousin, Addison, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma at just 20 years old. This heartbreaking diagnosis has completely changed her life — and the lives of those who love her.
Beginning in January 2025, Addie went to a sports medicine physician to inquire about shoulder pain she’d been experiencing since November. They put her on a steroid, but the pain continued. A few months later, on May 16th, she saw her primary care physician for the recurring pain and they ordered an x-ray. The results of the x-ray were swollen lymph nodes in her neck and she was referred for ultrasound. The ultrasound done on May 21st showed irregular vascularity (blood vessels) were found in the lymph nodes, which prompted a neck CT. The results of the neck CT on May 28th came as a shock - lymph nodes at the top of her chest were visible, with the largest one measuring about 3 cm in diameter (3 times the normal size). Addie then was referred to get another CT, this one of her chest.
On June 3rd, at her follow up with her primary care physician, Addison was referred to an oncologist with Houston Methodist. A week later, her oncologist ordered a PET scan. After multiple FDG-Avid spots (bright spots) on her PET scan, her next step was a lymph node biopsy.
July was a very busy, very emotional month. On July 9th, a large lymph node in her neck was biopsied. The results came back and Addie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma on July 16th. Her doctor at Methodist referred her to an oncologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she got her port placed on July 30th.
Because of her age, it was recommended that Addie begin the process of fertility preservation. She gave herself daily shots to prepare her body for egg retrieval. After 2 weeks of injecting estrogen and hoping to get at least 8-10 eggs, on August 15th (the day before her 21st birthday), the doctor was able to retrieve 30 eggs from her ovaries. She will begin her 6 months of chemotherapy on August 22nd.
Addie is a bright, kind, and loving person who always brings joy to those around her. She has the most caring heart and always puts others first. She had big dreams of her future career, was doing well in school, and looked forward to everything a young life should be full of. But cancer has forced her to put all of that on hold.
She can no longer attend school or work due to her upcoming chemotherapy treatment and the toll it will take on her body. Instead of enjoying her job in College Station, spending time with friends, and her college career that was set to begin at Texas A&M this fall, she’s spending her days living back at home in Houston with her parents, traveling to MD Anderson in the Medical Center, enduring pain, trying to stay strong through it all, and will soon be undergoing chemo every 2 weeks for the next 6 months.
The emotional, physical, and financial impact on her and her immediate family has been overwhelming. Between ongoing hospital visits, medications, procedures, and travel costs, the expenses are piling up fast.
We are raising funds to help cover:
- Life-saving medical treatments and hospital stays
- Transportation to and from MD Anderson, as well as parking
- Daily living expenses for her and her family during this time
- Basic needs and personal care
- Emotional support resources
Every dollar truly makes a difference. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign and keeping Addison and her family in your prayers and thoughts.
This fight is not one she should face alone. Thank you for standing beside her and helping us bring light to such a dark time.
With love and gratitude,
Kaylee
