This post is humbling and beyond heartbreaking to write. Sunday morning, Addie Mae, our 4 year old husky/shepherd mix, was a victim of a hit and run.
She’s in critical condition and her expenses are incredibly high due to her condition and medical needs. She has a liver laceration, a pneumothorax, severe pulmonary contusions, and cardiac damage.
We are staying so hopeful that Addie will continue to stay strong and heal. She is our family dog who loves everyone and everything. She watches over our boys, keeps guard of our chickens and happily greets everyone who drives up to our house. What’s even more heartbreaking (especially for our twin boys, Thomas and Charles) is we just had to say goodbye to our first dog, Bronson, 7 weeks ago. But Addie is a fighter with a will to live and holding her own in ICU.
We are so grateful for all the doctors, techs and staff at Crown Veterinary Specialists in Lebanon, NJ, specifically, Dr. Miller, Dr Fromzel, Dr Moze, Dr. Berger and Dr Panarello and Crown’s entire emergency and critical care unit.
She is being overseen by the best of the best and we couldn’t ask for better supportive care.
Thank you for any support as the smallest gift will help as we stay positive towards her recovery.
