Just two months ago, we were celebrating a beautiful wedding—filled with love, laughter, and the promise of a long and happy life together. But life can be unpredictable, and in an instant, everything changed.

Adam Daughtery Lopez, one of the kindest souls you could ever meet, began feeling unwell and was initially diagnosed with gallstones. He was transferred from Rockledge Florida, to ORMC for what was expected to be a routine procedure. But instead of relief, his condition took a devastating turn. Adam was diagnosed with necrotizing pancreatitis, which led to organ failure. He has been on a ventilator and receiving 24-hour dialysis, fighting a battle no one could have foreseen.

At just 43 years old, Adam should be enjoying newlywed life with his loving husband, Nathan, who has never left his side. But as they navigate this terrifying and uncertain time, life’s responsibilities don’t pause—medical bills, mortgage payments, car expenses, and everyday costs continue to add up.
