We are raising funds for Adam and his family. Adam is a very hard worker and a great father.
The couple of years that I have known Adam, his story has been both heartbreaking but also heartwarming.
Adam's wife, Amanda, has a digestive disease. She is in the hospital consistently.
The week of October 26 through November 1, I believe she has had a total of three or more surgeries that I know about.
Adam has been bouncing around between sleeping and eating at the hospital while trying to also spend time with their children.
These funds that we are raising would be for a financial break. An increased amount of money has been going out with food and extra gas, etc.
He does not know about this, nor does she. Adam is a very strong individual that hates asking for help, just like myself. But I am close enough to him to know that he needs help.

Here are some words from Amanda kind of explaining her medical situation. I got this from a Facebook post of theirs. Keep in mind that this post was wrote a few months ago and this was a plea for help to get to Cleveland. Since then, things have got worse.

My journey kind of started in 2020 when I almost died of starvation, and nobody could figure out why or believed that I was really sick. I went to all the hospitals around and I got treated really terribly. I eventually ended up figuring out what was wrong with me because of an episode of Grey's Anatomy. My niece was a huge fan of the show and they use real-life scenarios. I begged the doctors to look; this is where they told me that I was crazy, but they would check. Turns out I wasn't so crazy and that is exactly what I had going on: superior mesenteric artery and MALS syndrome. Extremely rare, but I was able to find a doctor to help me here. But since then, I've continued to be sick and over the last year, my intestines started to get something called malrotation, which puts me in a chronic state of pain and sickness. If this is not corrected, it could kill me. The doctors said I am a ticking time bomb, and nobody in Oklahoma will touch me. I just found out yesterday that I got accepted to Cleveland Clinic, which is huge because they have a team of doctors that invented the life-saving surgery to correct malrotation. The problem I'm running into is having to have my husband go with me for a minimum of a two-week stay there, plus I have to get him to be able to not work for 6 to 8 weeks so he can care for not only me but our three kids. In 2020, when I was really sick and in the hospital for three months, it completely drained us financially and we have never been able to really recover. We are barely making it by and it will take two trips to Cleveland and 6-8 weeks of income to make this a possibility. Our only hope is for friends and family and the kindness of strangers to get us there. We ask even if you can't contribute financially, you can share and most importantly pray for a way to be made.
