In August 2023, Adam was diagnosed with kidney cancer. By October, he underwent surgery to remove the right kidney and started infusions every 3 weeks for immunotherapy.

In September of 2024, the cancer spread to the left kidney, and he had surgery to remove part of it. Oral chemotherapy was added to the infusions. In December 2024, Adam started losing his voice, and we were told it was from the medication.

Early 2025, the cancer was back in the left kidney, and a nodule was found on his vocal cord. In July 2025, that nodule was removed, and things got worse. We were seen in December 2025 by an oncology ENT who discovered a large mass in the throat. After a biopsy in January 2026, it was determined his cancer spread, and he was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of stage 4 metastatic renal cell carcinoma. He just finished 5 very intense weeks of daily radiation, and we found out the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes. He will be starting chemotherapy soon.

With no PTO left, many missed hours from work, and an enormous amount of medical bills, we are starting this GoFundMe if anyone is interested. Prayers are always welcome! We will continue to update on this scary and trying journey.
