Hi, I'm Adam, and this is my best friend and chosen family, Shay. We are reaching out to ask for your urgent help to return to safety in Denver, Colorado, where our loving support system is waiting for us.

For the past few years, we've been living in North Carolina. We moved here with hopes of reconnecting with my foster family and forging a new path. We traveled across the country with our three beloved cats and our big dog, ready for a fresh start.

Unfortunately, that fresh start never materialized. Instead, we've found ourselves isolated and increasingly vulnerable. As transgender individuals, the atmosphere here—especially since the election—has become genuinely frightening. Without any family or close friends who accept us, we have no support system outside of each other.

Shay is eager to begin their transition, and I desperately need to get back on prescription testosterone and save for top surgery. Accessing this vital gender-affirming care is simply not feasible or safe for us here without a supportive community and resources.

We need to be in Colorado, where we have family, friends, and a strong, accepting LGBTQ+ community that will empower us to thrive.
