Help Adam Reclaim His Life

Adam is one of the most determined and resilient people I know — but right now, he’s facing more than anyone should have to face alone.
In the summer of 2020, Adam was working as a cribber in rural Alberta when a workplace accident changed everything. A puncture wound to his thigh led to a severe infection that spread rapidly through his body — affecting his entire left side, including his leg, arm, hand, heart, eye, ear, and his brain.
He survived multiple surgeries and months of treatment, but was left with permanent physical damage, nerve pain, and major loss of mobility. He hasn’t been able to return to work in his trained field since, and is permanently clinically impaired. His treatment has plateaued and he is not expected to recover further, despite requiring medication to manage his chronic pain and multiple medications to manage his heart complications.
Throughout his journey, Adam’s constant companion has been his service dog, Crash — a gentle and loving dog who even brought comfort to kids at the Stollery Hospital and the Glenrose Rehabilitation hospital, among others. Sadly, Crash is now in declining health, suffering from inoperable tumors and seizures.
On top of his health challenges, Adam has recently endured:
- Cancellation of critical chiropractic and psychological care by WCB
- Identity theft that compromised his bank and credit accounts
- Vandalism and break-in damage to his car in his apartment parking lot
- Ongoing battles with government systems and case worker turnover (15 and counting in 5 years)
Despite it all, he keeps pushing forward. But he’s now at a breaking point — and needs a hand.
We’re raising funds to help Adam recover from identity theft, repair his vehicle, regain access to chiropractic and mental health treatments, and cover costs related to Crash’s comfort and care. He has had to sell his kitchen table and chairs to cover his expenses, and he deserves so much better than that.
Let’s show up for Adam. He is the kind of person who will always show up for others, and now, it’s our turn.
Please consider donating — even a small gift helps. And if you’re unable to give, sharing this page is just as important. I want Adam's story to reach as many kind, supportive people as possible, and show him that there are still people out there that care and look after each other, however they can.
Thank you for your kindness and support. ❤️
