On 2nd September 2025, my 21-year-old brother, Adam, was hit by a motorbike while in Italy. The impact was so severe that he lost his left leg in the accident itself, and he was rushed to Spedali Civili Hospital in Brescia for emergency surgery.
Our family is still grieving the loss of our mum, who passed away not long ago, and now we are facing this new tragedy. We are doing everything we can to stay strong and support him.
While his emergency medical treatment and repatriation back home to the UK is being taken care of, the real challenges begin now. He will need:
- Legal support both in Italy and the UK to make sure his rights are protected after the accident, and, as this is a criminal case in Italy, to cover costs if the case goes to trial
- Rehabilitation and physiotherapy to adapt to life after amputation
- Specialist equipment and prosthetics to restore his mobility and independence.
- Mobility support, including driving lessons and home/general adaptations, to help him move forward with his life
These costs go far beyond what our family can manage.
Your donation will help give Adam the best chance at independence and dignity after this life-changing accident. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards the support, rehabilitation, and equipment he needs to rebuild his future.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page so more people can see it. Your kindness and generosity mean the absolute world to us during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you,
Amina & Family
