Help Adam Pay for Funeral And Living Expenses
Donation protected
In 2011, after a knee replacement surgery, my father Anthony developed chronic atrial fibrillation -- basically a heart condition that causes intermittent arrhythmia. He was from then on unable to work and was forced to fight the government to allow him to collect disability.
Still, he didn't give up.
In 2012, after my parents split up, my father went to live with his brothers in a neighboring state. They ended up stealing most of his possessions. He moved back here, and I went to live with him, since he needed someone to take care of him emotionally and mentally, as well as physically.
He didn't give up.
In the summer of 2019, my father became ill with a drug-resistant staph infection. He managed to recover, but due to the length of time that had passed, his mobility was severely impaired. He was unable to walk, but after extensive physical therapy, managed to regain some use of his legs, though not much.
Still, he didn't give up.
Now, my father is suffering from severe septic shock caused by his body's reaction to pneumonia. It's extremely unlikely that he'll recover. If he does, we'll likely have more medical expenses to deal with. If he doesn't, I'll have funeral expenses and increased living expenses like rent, food etc., since I'm going to need to quit my job and find another one.
So I'm asking for some assistance. Any amount will help. The money you donate will largely go to paying his end of life care expenses like a funeral, cremation, etc., but also to give me a small financial cushion so I can avoid becoming homeless until I find a cheaper place to live.
Thank you so much.
