Adam’s story….Adam developed type 1 diabetes at the age of 9 and for the last 25 years it has taken a toll on his body. He has been on the National Transplant List for a pancreas and kidney over a year now and has had dialysis treatments almost every day. This has put a major strain on his heart and lungs with resulting hospitalizations. Adam has lost vision and has had several eye surgeries to gain partial vision in both eyes. Due to these limitations Adam has been unable to work with no incoming salary or other source of financial assistance over the past 2 years. He has been unable to obtain Social Security Disability…being denied multiple times.

Due to multiple surgeries, daily dialysis etc, Adam’s medical costs have been billed at over $395,000.
