My name is Adam Awwad, and I am a Palestinian Muslim police officer who has dedicated my life to serving and protecting others with compassion, integrity, and faith. I worked for a university police agency, where I took great pride in my duty and in representing my community honorably. Recently, I faced an unexpected and deeply painful situation where I was wrongfully and unjustly terminated. This experience has left me struggling financially and emotionally, making it hard to provide for those who depend on me most.

I am the sole caretaker for my elderly grandmother, who is very ill and relies on me completely for her medical care, daily needs, and emotional support. Watching her health decline while trying to stay financially stable has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life. Despite all of this, I continue to hold onto my faith and hope — but I cannot do it alone.
