My name is Tim O'Reilly and my wife Heather and I are raising funds for one of my best childhood friend's Adam Lord. He needs help in the biggest way. He wrote his story below:

"After a lifetime of working hard, staying positive, and helping others—my world has turned completely upside down. In 2024, what started as a small cut on my foot turned into a devastating infection that spread to my bone and bloodstream. Despite my best efforts as a diabetic to stay healthy, doctors were forced to amputate part of my foot, including my big toe, just to save my life. Since then, I’ve been in unbearable pain every single day. I'm in a wheelchair, unable to walk, enduring harsh treatments, IV antibiotics, and wound care. The infection spread to my ankle, making healing almost impossible. Every movement sends jolts of pain through my leg, and the emotional toll of losing my independence has been just as hard.

To make matters worse, I’ve lost all income. I can't work, and my savings have been completely wiped out. I’m struggling to afford even the most basic necessities—like food, rent, and medications. There’s nothing left to fall back on. Then the unimaginable happened—my beloved mom suddenly passed away from a heart attack. She was my best friend, my guiding light, and the strongest person I knew. A single mom and a nurse with a heart of gold, she always put others first—whether it was her patients, her community, or my sister and me. Losing her while I was already down has left a hole in my heart I can’t describe. Now, I’m trying to pick up the pieces.

I’ve been approved for further medical care, rehab, and potential surgery—but I have no way to afford the out-of-pocket costs. I never imagined being in this position, but I’m asking for help because I truly have no other options. Now, I’m facing the next difficult chapter: doctors are performing a bone biopsy to determine how far the infection has spread. Best-case scenario, I’ll undergo reconstructive surgery to rebuild my foot and give me a chance to walk again. But if the damage is too extensive, I may need a below-the-knee amputation. It’s a terrifying reality—but I’m doing everything I can to hold on to hope.
