NOTE: DONATIONS ARE STILL WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED BUT THE WINDOW TO BE A SPONSOR ON T-SHIRTS AND THE BANNER IS NOW CLOSED! Hi everyone - if you know Adam, you know how much time and effort he has spent helping others - mainly through his time spent in Scouting or other various volunteer activities. Now, myself and several others are rallying behind Adam to help him, his wife Claudette of 16 years, and his 12 year old son Joseph as Adam enters stage 5 kidney disease.
Adam was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2019 and his condition has continually worsened. He is set to begin dialysis in the coming months - a process that will clean his blood through a machine in the absence of functioning kidneys. What Adam needs most is a living donor to donate a kidney to him. More information about kidney donation is available here: https://nkr.org/WVP364 Prior to his condition worsening, Adam spent 33 years volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, mentoring hundreds of kids and leading more than a dozen Scouts to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout – a rank he earned himself at age 15.
Adam has worked at WEBS Yarn Store in Northampton for almost 18 years and later at Stop & Shop in Northampton as a second job, but as of 2024 has had to stop working entirely, leaving his wife as the sole provider for their family.
We’re raising funds to help cover growing medical bills, and daily expenses, to help ease the burden as they deal with Adam’s illness and navigate the process of trying to find a living donor. Any donation, big or small, will make a real difference. Please share this fundraiser with friends and family to help spread the word of Adam’s story. It could help save Adam’s life.
We are hosting Adam's March for a Match Walkathon at Look Memorial Park at the Dow Pavilion on Sunday, May 18th, 2025. This is the official GoFundMe for the fundraising effort for the event and donations made through this will be counted toward sponsorship tiers. See the Facebook event details for more information on sponsorship tiers. The goal will be to raise additional funds for Adam, and to spread awareness of Adam’s condition to help him find a donor. Thank you so much for any support you can offer.
