Help Adam Defy The Odds Against Brain Cancer

Since being rushed to the hospital on September 21, 2022, Adam has been in the biggest fight of his life, a fight for survival. He's endured seizures, two brain surgeries, radiation, and is now on a six month course of chemotherapy. The statistics are depressing, the odds of survival dismal, but no one is giving up hope. Adam certainly isn't, and he has the strength and love of his family behind him to beat the odds, but he can no longer fight alone. He needs help.

Adam was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, or GBM. It is a fast-growing brain tumor that develops from glial cells in the brain. It is an aggressive and devastating cancer that can result in death in as little as 15 months after diagnosis. Although, the long term prognosis for Glioblastoma patients remains poor, Adam isn't just any patient and he is not merely a statistic. We are determined to help him defy the gruesome odds.

It's hard to imagine that at 49, this perfectly healthy man... this mentor, coach, and beloved friend, was struck with this terrifying disease. He has spent most of his life from a position of strength... as an exceptional athlete and coach, a tiresome advocate for students and education, a prolific writer and compassionate ear to kids and adults alike. He has left an indelible mark on countless people. This is an unimaginable fate for those that know Adam. And although he is now left unable to work, he is still touching lives with his fierce optimism and fight, but the struggle to maintain life as he once knew it is slipping away and his ability to care for his family financially is a struggle. No one wants this for Adam.

As a family, Adam, Erika, Addison and Mya, have faced one adversity after another. This shocking diagnosis has profoundly changed every aspect of their lives. They have devoted every financial resource they have to staying in their home and keeping Adam alive, while also making sure he enjoys his days throughout treatment.
