Help Adam and Tammy’s fight with cancer

My best friend, Adam Barber, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2022. It is Stage 2B so it has been caught relatively early, currently affecting the pancreas and local lymph nodes. While we are thankful it was caught early, we are devastated by the results and still trying to wrap our minds around the entire ordeal.

Last week marked his first round of chemotherapy and Adam will endure at least six to eight months of aggressive chemotherapy treatments, radiation and a Whipple surgery. Although most of these treatments will be covered by his health insurance and the VA, we understand Adam will not be able to work during this time. I am starting this GoFundMe account to help ease the financial burden Adam and Tammy will have to endure as he will be unable to work and she will be taking lots of time off to care for him.

Should the donations exceed the cost of his living expenses and medical bills, the remaining funds will be donated to Veterans Charity.

Adam is a Food Service Manager and retired member of the Air Force Reserves. Adam was a committed and proud member of the military and carries that pride and commitment as a Veteran. I am inspired by this and always have used that as an inspiration in my own life.

Adam has been my friend for 30 years and counting and if you know him like I know him, the only thing you want is to be there for him like he is always there when a friend is in need.
