Help Adam and Kris make a baby!

Hi, Kris here! My husband is Adam, and we're looking to "make a baby"! We mean that quite literally, too. Thank you for visiting our GoFundMe page and reading our story; we can't explain our appreciation for you being here and participating in our hopeful future of having a baby.

Adam and I started dating in 2010 after meeting on an online video game, and after a little over a year, we decided to make our virtual relationship real. I left everyone I ever knew and moved to WA to be with him, and it's been a "happily ever after" since.

Ok, I'm kidding! Our life hasn't been that easy. However, we have remained by each other's side, fighting for what we believe in and the goals we've set in place for ourselves. But, of course, we wouldn't be able to do it without the excellent support system of family and friends we have.

One of the goals we shared with my family was and still is to have a baby. My mother's biggest goal was to be as close to her grandbabies as possible. Sadly, we lost her to COVID last year, and unfortunately, we've been struggling with an infertility diagnosis for over four years.

I honestly can't imagine raising a child without her, but it gives me the strength to finally take the plunge of IVF. This fancy abbreviation means I will undergo a series of injections to stimulate my body to make multiple eggs that will be retrieved in an outpatient procedure and fertilized with Adams swimmers! Then we wait. We wait for them to grow, and hopefully, we get multiple embryo babies that we can then transfer for a hopeful pregnancy!

I felt the need to explain some of the complexities of these procedures to emphasize the specialty and explain why we are asking for the amount we are. We were quoted 25-30K from start to finish for this procedure, regardless of if we get pregnant. Adam and I have saved for the last two years, but we are hoping for at least half that amount to crowd-funded to help support us through this. That's where our family and friends come in to play!

Some of you may know that we struggle with female and male fertility factors. I have severe endometriosis, which required a laparoscopic procedure in 2019. They removed my left fallopian tube during that procedure, and all of the endometriosis scattered throughout my abdomen. They also found cancer on my appendix; don't fret, though! Fortunately, they got it all, and my scans have been clear for two years now! Cancer-free!
Currently, I am scheduled for surgery in April and will start moving forward with the IVF process with our fantastic fertility specialist.

Because IVF is our only chance of hope, i hope to share as much of the journey as possible. So if youre able to donate to the cost of medications, the multitude of procedures and appointments for me and for our hopeful embryos, it would mean the absolute world to us. If you cant, we appreciate you reading our story, and hopeyou will share our page to your friends, because we've learned every single bit counts! Thank you again <3
