On August 13th, our lives changed forever. My brother, Adam, only 24 years old, was rushed to the hospital and has been there ever since.
In just a few weeks, Adam has endured more than most of us could imagine:
Several surgeries and weeks in the ICU.
Multiple strokes, leaving him with paralysis and mobility challenges.
A diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) – an aggressive blood cancer.
Eosinophilic Myocarditis, a rare and dangerous heart condition.
A collapsed lung, adding to the struggle for survival.
Adam’s fight isn’t only about beating cancer. Because of the strokes and the many times he was intubated, he was left with paralysis and one of his vocal folds was damaged, making it difficult to speak and swallow. He now needs occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech/swallowing therapy to regain even the most basic abilities we often take for granted.
And most devastating of all: Adam does not have health insurance. Every surgery, hospital stay, treatment, and therapy session is an out-of-pocket cost. The bills are already overwhelming, and they grow every single day.
Despite all of this, Adam continues to fight with incredible courage. At just 24, he is facing a battle for his life and the long road of recovery ahead – fighting cancer, enduring treatments, and working tirelessly to regain his independence.
Why We’re Asking for Help
Our family is doing everything we can, but the financial burden is crushing. While Adam is in the hospital and unable to work, bills and expenses continue to grow — and our family has had to miss work ourselves in order to care for him.
Your support will go directly toward:
Medical & hospital bills (out-of-pocket with no insurance): $2,000–$4,000+ per month.
Rehabilitation expenses (OT, PT, Speech): hundreds per session.
Rent & household bills: $1,500+ per month, plus utilities and insurance.
Family support & lost wages: $1,500–$2,500 per month so we can continue being by his side.
Transportation: $30 per round trip to the hospital, adding up to hundreds each month, plus $1,000 for urgent car repairs.
Our Goal
We are asking for $50,000 to help cover Adam’s medical care, rehabilitation, living expenses, and family support over the next several months. With no insurance, every dollar truly matters. This will give Adam the stability he needs to focus fully on recovery.
How You Can Help
If you’re able, please consider donating to help Adam in this fight. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you can’t give financially, sharing this page means the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, prayers, and generosity. Together, we can help Adam fight cancer, heal, and rebuild his life.
