Our family is asking for prayers and support for Adalynn Llanas, 14 years old, who is currently admitted on the neuro floor at Cook Children’s Hospital after doctors discovered a brain tumor. This was found suddenly after she had been suffering with headaches for the past two weeks along with blurred and double vision.

Adalynn is scheduled for surgery on Monday. At this time, the plan of care will depend on the biopsy results after surgery. She is expected to need ongoing care and rehabilitation including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and ophthalmology follow-up.

Her parents, Jose Llanas and Marily Modesto, are by her side while staying in Dallas during this difficult and uncertain time. As you can imagine, the emotional and financial burden of travel, meals, lodging, missed work, and future medical needs is overwhelming.
