Help Our Daughter Recover After 4th of July Crash

Hi, I’m Meghan, a mom of 5 and an RRT in the ICU. My husband is with the local police department.

On July 4th, while driving home after fireworks, our van was T-boned by a full-sized truck. My 10-year-old daughter was in the middle row on the passenger side—the point of impact. She was pinned between the seat and door, freed with the Jaws of Life, and then airlifted for emergency care.

She suffered multiple fractures including:

• Right femur (with rods)

• Right arm bones (rods)

• Right shoulder (pins)

• Left wrist and left hip (2 screws)

• Fractured nose, mouth fractures, and lost teeth

We've been in the ICU and are hoping to discharge soon, but she will be wheelchair-bound for months and will need physical therapy.

Our only family vehicle was totaled. With 24/7 care needed, I’ll miss work to care for her.

We need help with:

• Medical and rehab costs

• Dental surgeries

• A new vehicle

• Lost income
